Înainte de voce, înainte de imagine, a fost un puls.

Într-o dimineață de iarnă a anului 1844, un semnal electric a străbătut 64 de kilometri de cablu și a schimbat relația omenirii cu distanța. Nu era o voce și nici o imagine - era un ritm. Un puls care spunea: „What hath God wrought”  (Ce a facut Dumnezeu).
